I remember an episode of "The Partridge Family" where Danny asked a visiting Princess for a Knighthood only to br told you need to over 18 years old to be Knighted.

Technically a secondary character, but in the "Kamp Krusty" episode of The Simpsons, Krusty is about to be knighted when he gets the call that there's been a revolt at his camp.
