I don't have the actual NBC airing, but I have the international version of the last episode, which is identical to the uncut NBC version (apart from the network logo, of course). If you can play PAL format, I'd be happy to make a copy of it for you.

Did the second part of the last episode, when it originally aired, end with just Alex running back in the house after he left saying "I love you guys" or was there another scene where Alex says goodbye to the audience or something.

After "I love you guys", the episode ended with a scene from the audience and an introduction to the actors/actresses and Gary David Goldberg. After that, a number of crew members said "Goodbye" during the closing credits, which were scrolling credits during that episode (not fixed ones, as all other episodes).

Do you have those shots on tape? I do not have that on tape, I just have fixed closing credits. I guess once it went to syndication those scenes were not shown.

Yes, I do have that entire episode (1 hour 3 minutes in length), including the closing scenes.

And you're right - I believe they changed to regular fixed credits for the US syndication, although I'm pretty sure international syndication have always included everything the original US version did (possibly with the exception of England).

Couple of questions, when the introductions you mentioned occur, does each actor come out one by one and is Michael J. Fox the last introduction? If so does Michael J. Fox get to be alone on stage after his introduction to receive his own well deserved ovation?

Let me think here... I think Meredith Baxter was the last one to be introduced - They started with the major guest stars (Courteney Cox, Scott Valentine and Marc Price), went on to the children in the Keaton family (I believe) and ended with the parents. After all that, Gary David Goldberg (the Executive Producer) was introduced, so he was in fact the last one to enter the scene.

To answer your questions: Yes, they are called onto the scene one at a time - And no, Michael J. Fox is never alone on the stage as all the earlier ones are still there (the only one alone any time during the presentation is Courteney Cox, as she was the first one to enter).

I am constantly thinking about a scene from a certain episode that involves Alex being all alone in the Keaton living room to have a moment to himself. I could have sworn I saw some kind of highlight like this on one of those Best TV Moments shows hosted by Dick Clark a while back. I am not sure what the situation was but I remember him being alone saying some things and then walking out to a standing ovation.

Now, I thought this scene was from They Can't Take That Away from Me part 1 or 2, but I realized that was incorrect after seeing the reairing of it on NAN not too long ago. Before that I thought that the scene I am thinking about happened during the very last 2 episodes (the two parter) and I realized I was incorrect about that as well.

Is it possible that the scene I am thinking about happened in the episode where Ellen leaves? If not could you tell me what episode the scene I have explained is in. I know it exists, I can't be dreaming this up because it was so moving to me that I know it had to be in an episode. Please help!

I watched all the eps. on NAN and don't remember any such scene. Could it be that it was cut from the NAN airings?

I don't know, maybe it is cut from the NAN episodes. I could have sworn I saw a scene like that for Family Ties on one of those Dick Clark greatest TV moments shows a while back. I know I didn't imagine this, it had to be something similar to what I am referring to, man I wish I could remember!
