Default Schneider Pilot

Just noticed the woman who played Jackie is Candy Azzara. She's done a lot of TV work and is still active, but the thing that most stands out to me about her is that she was cast in one of the All in the Family pilots as Gloria.

So they went with Keith and Laurie for the kids names, huh? Sounds familiar.

Yeah I wasn't thrilled with it! I could see why it wasn't picked up.

I still think a spinoff of the "Royers" at the house they rented with Max. And maybe have some more sexual tension eps. between Barbara and Max?

That would have been better than the Schneider pilot.

That was the worst pilot/finale ever.
2 kids being raised by a janitor and a group of sideshow freaks.

I agree that the Royers would have been a better way to go considering they were featured in the last few eps of the series anyway.

But I heard the Valerie was done with doing the show.

It's like 227's backdoor pilot spin-off attempt Jackee---so unbelievably lame you wonder how anyone ever thought of the idea, lol (that said, I have loved being able to see the Jackee episode for the first time thanks to Antenna TV's inclusion of it in the syndicated cycle of 227).

I agree, it was bad. The character of Schneider was the wrong one to attempt a spin off with. They should have tried it with Barbara, Mark, and Max, but I guess Valerie B. wasn't interested.

I didn't even notice that.

I agree with the other comments about this pilot. Really bad concept.

Yeah I didn't really catch what the little boy's name was.

IDK if it was a bad concept, it actually seemed like it could be funny, a show with carnival type people. But they were the most boring sideshow people I ever saw. I mean it really wasn't funny at all. And I couldn't see that trying to turn into a drama/comedy like ODAAT!

Only good thing in the show was seeing a very young Corey Feldman!

Exactly, a character who served no purpose on the show and they wanted to give him a spinoff? lol

Well I finally watched it. It sucked. I'm sort of glad I skipped it the first time around.

After 9 seasons on Antenna TV I was getting really, really tired of seeing Schneider in the same ol' damn outfit, lol. Couldn't they have changed it up just once, like halfway through the series, so he had a "new" different get-up to wear? lol

They put his goofy a$$ in a suit sometimes and he looked stiff as a board
