Default So Max Thirsty A$$ started having feelings for Barbara knowing she was with Mark?

This episode was so damm weird

You can tell the show was running out of ideas because this episode made no sense at all. Wanting to make out with his sister inlaw. Then Barbara says she liked it

BTW: I hope this show is never complete on DVD

I know what you mean. I made a different thread about how this show was not really that great. It was never even that funny.

Max never should have acted on his feelings for Barbara.
I'm glad they didn't confess to Mark.... there would be no point.

I think the only time I a actually laughed during this series was when Julie was telling Ann that Schneider wanted to drag race her and Chuck in his camper.
But that's it. This show is NOT funny.

I watched the episode, I thought it was OK. Nothing special or terrific, but OK.

Julie had left Max, he was starting to feel lonely, and began to get feelings for Barbara because she was being nice and attentive to him. Yes, even though she is his sister in law. This is something that can happen in a real life situation, not just an idea conjured up as script for a TV show. The part I didn't like was when Barbara had her woman to woman talk with her grandmom instead of her mother, but I guess Bonnie Franklin was behind the camera directing this episode, so she didn't appear in it.

I had to laugh when Barbara admitted to liking the kiss. Honestly, Barbara looked better with Max than she did with Mark. I always thought Barbara and Mark didn't look right together, just like Julie and Max didn't look right together. They should have paired Max up with Barbara, and Mark up with Julie. That would have been better.

I also watched the following episode, Off We Go, basically the finale of the series. I thought it was pretty good, kind of sad though, but I thought it was done well.

Bonnie was in the episode...however, that part was edited out in syndication and only shown during the closing credits lol

Oh OK, thanks for making that correction. That's what I don't like about these repeats on Antenna TV. The episodes are edited and we don't see everything.

Must have been a minor part since she was edited out

If the show had gone to the extreme, not only would Barbara's mother have married her husband's father, she would have hooked up with her sister's husband, who was like a brother to her husband. The whole thing would have been more convoluted than General Hospital.

[Coincidence of the night. I was watching the One Day recording over a channel showing FRIENDS, and when I stopped, up popped "directed by Michael Lembeck" on FRIENDS.

Wow!! Neat!!!

Adding to my last post that I just To!!! As I posted on another thread, Grandma Romano was in this ep for comic relief. By bringing the girls into the travel agency to meet Max, that is why they had her and not Ann. Ann wouldn't have done that of course, and the ep. would have been more dramatic than it already was!

OMG! When she came in with those hot blonde identical twins! And adding to this, nobody mentioned at the end how Max was very cool in offering the trip to Mexico to Mark and Barbara and when Mark said "You aren't coming too"! Max replied "No, I have a date with a red haired manicurist"! So that led you to believe he was going to call her to start dating and try to get over his feelings for Barbara !

Loved this , one of my favorite eps ever!!! I just wish maybe they had one more kiss, and more steamy and romantic than the first one!!!

I agree, this was a really well-done episode, and very realistic; everything from Max's developing feelings, to Barbara struggling with the truth that she liked the kiss. Very, very well written.

The only thing I couldn't "buy" was Max starting to tell Barbara about his feelings, and then just blatantly kissing her---with people right next door in the kitchen! lol...other than that, a wonderful episode.

Yeah! And standing right in the middle of the room, and really going at it for a while! Not even off to the side where if they heard somebody come in they would have time to stop and they could play it off!

I had no idea what to expect from this ep. I had myself so hyped up, and than I got to thinking, maybe it will be a letdown, maybe just a little rated G flirting between them or something. But NO it was really more than I expected! When he grabbed her and kissed her and she was all into it too. I was like OMG WHOA!!! One more kiss later would have been nice! Could you imagine when they were standing in the travel agency when Mark walked in with the flowers, if they were kissing than, and he caught them? !!!!
