they had produced a 20 year reunion show back in 2004, and assuming 100 percent participation among the cast members. What would you have the characters currently doing and had been doing during those 20 years?

Good question. I'd like to think that Barbara and her boring husband are still married and maybe have adopted some kids. Ann and Sam could have amiably divorced and Ann could just be enjoying the single life entirely on her own for the first time in her life. Max could have remarried and found a girl eager to make an 'instant family' for Baby Annie and maybe given her a few extra half-sibs to play with. Baby Annie, of course, would be in college [and Ann would be very proud to FINALLY have a descendent go to college]. I'd like to think Julie had found her peace on her own but recognized the damage she'd done to her entire family and was willing to let them come to her on their own terms not hers. I think Annie would be civil to her but not consider her someone to trust or rely on. Schneider would be 'kooky uncle' but be the Lothario of the senior set. And Grandma? I think she'd be healthy and happy but much closer to Barbara and Annie than Ann or Julie.

And Alex would have come back to marry Francine. After making it big on Wallstreet of course.

I think Ann and David would end up together after all.

Wow can you imagine Max telling Annie the story of how her parents got together." Well honey, she was supposed to marry my best friend, and I was the best man at their wedding which never happened, because I stepped in and became the groom"! ." Than your Mom decided to leave me and you when you weren't even 2 yet"!
