"Bootsy" St. Claire - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

So I'm watching the boxset and Im in season 5 and Im really beginning to remember how much I loved Jamie Gertz a.k.a Boots St. Claire.
She was great during this era and very iconic to the series I think. She only appeared in a handful of episodes but she was one of the characters I sort of always remembered when I thought about the Edna's Edibles era.
And Jamie Gertz herself was awesome back in the day...Sixteen Candles, Less than Zero, Lost Boys.
She even recently did that show a year ago The Neighbors, about those aliens next door.(not sure if y'all saw that. It got canceled)
But they should have bumped her up to starring role in season 6.They had that dumb Pippa in season 9. They let George Clooney and that McKenzie kid have starring roles real quick.
I think Jamie should have been promoted. The Boosty character was a great asset to the show at that time.
I loved Bootsy.

She was hysterical.

i thought she was pretty great on the show too - even if they had just made her a semi-regular adversary and brought her back more often just to tangle with the other girls it would've been better.

Now I have to rewatch the serie on DVD. I never knew she was on it.

I loved her too; and the fact she was in only a handful of episodes, yet many of us fans think of her when we think of the Edna's Edibles era, shows just how talented and memorable she was.

I still think it's funny though that in the sorority dinner episode, it takes Boots and the other members a few minutes to realize the food is horrible; you'd think they'd realize it on the first bite, lol.

"Warner: the food stinks!" lol

Never knew sge was on the show.

Yeah and what's funny is that this the same season that Pamela Segal as kelly was made a starring role but Jamie Gertz as Bootsy had way more plot lines than the Kelly character had, yet Pamela Segal got her own name plate in the opening credits and she had less screen time than Bootsy. I'm gonna go ahead and say I think the producers got this one wrong or backwards.

I loved Boots. Especially when she would enter the shop and she would go Peek-a-boo I see you & then leave the shop saying Shazoom. Just love her preppy snooty attitude. Wish they would of kept her on as a main character.
