Default Mackenzie's time is winding up on this final season airing

Last night's episode that aired in the 11:30pm slot (which also aired in the mother's day marathon) aired and Mack looked as though she was deteriorating. I know she will be on tonight and tomorrow which are her last episodes. Her final appearance has her at odds with Max. I won't give awa anymore but seeing these eps are sad because you know the reality behind the situation and know what is yet to come.

I know. Her face is so skeletal , and her hands Wow, they are so skinny and bony like an old ladies! I'm talkin OLD like my Mom's hands were like that when she was in her 80's! If a young person's hands are like that it is a sure sign that they are doing hard drugs !!!

Yeah. Bonnie Franklin said in a GMA interview that she should not be paid so she can go out and spend money on more drugs. It saddens me because had Mack hung in there, she would have been able to complete the season with everyone else and to me, she was needed for sure.

Yeah. There weren't really that many more eps to go at that point. Even if they didn't know season 9 would be the last, at least let her finish out till the end of the season and not bring her back after that! Wow, she must have really been bad off and for Bonnie Franklin to say what she did about her spending her pay on drugs! How many eps after the Dear Max letter were left? Probably not many, they could have just pretended Julie wasn't at home or something, rather than coldly making her leave her husband and abandon her baby!

Mackenzie looked worst in the 9th season than she did when her problems surfaced in the fifth season. She looked so bad and old in the 9th season.

Yeah, she really didn't look like she was a young wife and Mother! Max looked so healthy and like he would want his woman to be healthy , not all skinny and drugged out looking. They didn't look like they fit together! So it was getting pretty weird. I can see why they let her go! But not to sound like a broken record because we have all said it many times already. Mack had so many problems in real life, did they have to have her character of Julie leave on bad terms too?,leaving her baby and husband!

Maybe they wouldn't let her finish the season to teach her lesson. The way she looked she was close to death. So it might have been a tough love type of thing.

Another thing i noticed is that her last string of shows were, for the most part, split. One episode would feature only Sam and Bonnie and then the next would only feature the group living at the house. Kind of like 2 separate sitcoms.
And when they would feature different members of the cast in one ep, Mack and Bonnie hardly interacted.
I found it funny that Ann would call Barbara for marriage advice.

It was like Bonnie didn't want to be bothered with the problems. But i'm just guessing.

Yeah Wow , it's sad. And it was never ending with Mack! She would get clean only to go back to drugs and with a vengeance! It was like all she knew I guess, how she was raised, her father was a big time drug addict and well, you all really need to read her book. High on arrival. It is really something!! Very shocking! You think she is bad in season 9 ODAAT!!! Wait till she is on drugs again in the 00's! Almost 50 years old in 2008, an arrested at the airport for drug possession! At this point she was HARDCORE!! Really bad, shocking. Shooting up heroin and cocaine !! You'd think she would have learned her lesson and grown up by then. A very addictive, self destructive personality!

I remember years ago seeing her on a Nickelodeon show and was really happy that she cleaned up, then i heard that she was busted for drugs again. But it seems that she is in better shape now.

Yeah it was called 'So weird" .Here is a picture, she looked really good and stayed clean while doing the show. After it was cancelled, she relapsed! Hoping that will be it, after her 2008 arrest and going to jail, I pray she never goes back to it again. It really could kill her, she isn't young, and I mean what the heck must that be doing to her mentally and physically? It's really a wonder she survived all she did! I wonder how good her health really is? IDK you would think as hardcore as she was it might have long time affects. In her book at one point she did say she contracted hepatitis!
