Since I consider myself a skeptic of most paranormal activity episodes I was wondering what everyone else thought of that recording made on the queen mary. I could never explain that one (or rain boy episode for that matter) They sealed off the area (according to UM) after placing the recorder in the bow. Most of the night it was just silent except those few minutes of what sounds like water rushing it and men's voices. Now, if someone came and made those sounds wouldn't it record someone walking or noises leading up to it? Unless the tape was a fake (by UM producers) I just cant explain it. Anyone else feel the same way on this one? This episode always gave me the creeps lol

I've been on (and below deck) of the Queen Mary, but during the Halloween festivities, so of course it was creepy and full of scary noises and creatures
I would love to go see it again and maybe even stay overnight. That being said, I do find that tape extremely scary to listen to. Could it be a hoax? Sure. But it sure is creepy and I don't know what to make of it. I wouldn't want to stay the night alone lol |

Wasn't the setup in the lower hull area? I can't remember. It would take some courage to go down there alone in the dark.

You get all kinds of noises on ships & in houses for that matter. Problem with all these cases is you have people who have been working on these haunted ships & in haunted places for years/decades who report they have never had any strange encounters. Rather reaffirming the likely scenario that it is people who are haunted rather than places.

This was one of those rare supernatural cases that I had no explanation for the noises picked up on the tape recorder. The only one I could think of would be some workers sneaking down and making the noises, but I highly doubt that.

I think (And Ill have to rewatch it again) they said that below deck deep below where they were filming at. That there should be "No Noise". And on a ship that big I doubt that would be the case. I would imagine you would hear noises anywhere on the ship. Thats just my opinion. I have never been on board her or any other ship. However, As I stated before. They could just be getting their facts incorrect. And I don't mean intentionally. But they stated during WW2 that the Queen Mary was involved in an incident/collision with a British Cruiser. They called the cruiser the "Kirosawa".(Not sure on the spelling) Wasnt until a few years ago did it really strike me as a really un-British sounding name. So I looked it up. And the name of the cruiser was actually the HMS Curacoa. No one is perfect. Just saying. They may have assumed that there would also be no noises down in that area as well. Or got bad info. Like JT said. Houses make weird noises depending upon the age and location of the house. The Queen Mary is like a Mansion that floats on water. Either way tho. Very cool segment. I loved it. Still do. The swimming pool story of that segment can really creep me out. And that tour guide on the escalator. Great stuff.

I can take just about everything in that segment at night except for that recording. I do think it's something probably quite benign and ordinary, but that doesn't make it sound any less creepy.

I put the ghost DVD which has been formatted for sound on my surround sound and 65 inch tv last Halloween night and had a few of my friends over (most of not easily scared) all of them (a few were grown men) visibly uncomfortable when that Queen Mary episode came on especially when that recording played. If you have the DVDs and want a great scare put that Queen Mary episode on surround sound. lol
If you closely listen to the recording it is definitely the sound of rushing water and voices. The rushing water is very clear on that DVD. I just cant think of a thing unless it was a fake (which like wiseguy, I dont UM would intentionally fake a tape). I cant explain it. |

Good lord!!! $119 dollars for the 4 disc Psychic DVDs on amazon with prime shipping!? (In my opinion the worst one anyways) I was given the entire UM treasure chest in 2006 as a gift (with all DVDs sets in a cute treasure chest plus with a few extra DVDs and I don't believe it was more then $100-150 (at most). I realize they discontinued it but that is OUTRAGEOUS. I need to breathe I'm so livid. Ugh, makes it so hard for anyone to enjoy the show at all. Grrr. End rant

I bought all the sets apart from each other back in 2006 and they were like 30 bucks a pop back then so I can see someone charging that much especially since all the links were taken off of the evil site.
With the Queen Mary though I think it was just like every single "reality" type show now...some things were setup to make it better...they never would do it to a real case that needs help solving, but for ghost, UFO, Psychics, Miracles...stuff like that I totally believe that they fabricated some stuff to make a better program. |
