How long do syndicated prints of any given TV show usually last before they're up for remastering? 5 years? 10?
Prior to the early to mid 1980s, these were on film. After that was when they used videotape. Even so, certain newer closing logos at the end of a program can be seen filmed, such as the Worldvision Enterprises "WHOOSH Globe," Viacom's "V of Steel" and Paramount Television's "CGI Mountain (of Monotony)." They will look darker than how they look on videotape. Syndicated prints of shows distributed by Viacom, as seen on the likes of such cable channels as USA, (W)TBS and WGN, will have varying logos depending on the era printed. For example, I know one (W)TBS rerun of a pre-1965 episode of The Andy Griffith Show had the grayscale filmed "V of Doom" logo (not as old as the "V-IA-COM" logo from 1971, but you still know what I'm talking about) as late as 1990. ~Ben |

TV One aired Good Times Uncut in 2004 and around 2010 it was edited. The versions you see today was not the ones you saw in 2004 which is why I was recording all of them.
