Question The Bedrooms in Mamas house

It was made clear that after Frannie died that Vint and Naomi would get her room. No before Frannie died Buzz and Sonja lived there too. What room did they stay in. Because if Buzz and Sonja had a room of there own and Mama has her room and Frannie had her room and Vint and naomi had the basement, then why, after Frannie died, did Vint and Naomi get angry with Mama for giving there promised room to Bubbah if there were three rooms upstiars anyway?

Sonja's room was Fran's "studio", and Buzz's was the attic.

So that rules out Buzz's room as a possibility for Vint & Naomi, and the only reason I can think for them not movin' into Fran's studio is cause it's too small for 2 people to live in.

After all, in the episode of Naomi's false pregnancy, in the scene where the family fights over what room V&N&the baby'll move into, Sonja says, "Don't look at me, my room's microscopic! Aunt Fran's room is humongous!" (or however you spell that word).

I think it's one of those contradiction things. In the earlier stages, Buzz has the Attic, Sonya has Fran's Studio, Fran has a room of her own, that, according to Sonja is humongous.....

Yet later on, Vint and Naomi get mad at Mama for giving Bubba Fran's old room, but what about Buzz's attic, or Sonja's room?? Even after those rooms open up, Vint and Naomi still remain in the basement. Also - you'll notice the big stint Naomi makes about sleeping under ground level all the time, seems like they would want to move to the attic to be above sea level. It's just one of those contradictions. Every show has em!! lol

Default The attic...

...there was a contradiction even in the NBC episodes of Mama's Family. When Vint and the kids moved in, Buzz moved into the attic. They showed his room in at least one episode. I know they showed it in "Double Standard" or whatever it was called, where Buzz got to stay out later for Homecoming than Sonja, even though she was older.

Well, in the flashback episode to Mama's 30th birthday, Buzz took Mama up to the attic to help her clean. This time, it looked like a typical attic...dusty, dark, and with lots of old junk in it. In the previous episode, it looked like a bedroom.

Either someone got a bit sloppy, or that was just one big house with one humongous attic!

One other detail about the set that drives me crazy is Mama's kitchen. If you look at where the door is to the basement and where her pantry is, there is no way in hell you could get a staircase to fit in that tiny little space! Oh well, it's only a tv show!

OMG, I totally never realized the Buzz's bedroom thing! WOW...I just always assumed the pantry was tiny, so the pantry/stair thing never seemed "unrealistic" to me, but yeah, that thing with the attic/bedroom is sure strange...I guess they "fixed up the attic" for Buzz's room, but then in the 30th birthday episode, they just had to make it "atticy" for storyline reasons.

Who knows, those 2 episodes were filmed so apart anyway, the producers/writers/directors probably forgot all about the attic/bedroom thing; I mean, if it slips fans like me in reruns, than anything can happen! lol

Yeah, I noticed the basement door too! And it seems like a house that size would have more than 2 bedrooms! But I do love that house!
