"Under the Dome" Team Previews What's Ahead at Comic-Con

The "Under the Dome" panelists promised answers are coming -- soon -- for the show's long-running questions.

"It's a little more serialized and not as standalone… the answers are going to play out throughout the season," said executive producer Tim Schlattmann. "A lot of these questions we're answering were things I wanted answered."

The reaction to the promise was lukewarm from the crowd.





The panelists were open about the evolving love triangles both Joe (Colin Ford) and Barbie (Mike Vogel) will find themselves in.

"It's shapely," Vogel joked of Barbie's torn affections for Julia (Rachelle Lefevre) and Eva (Kylie Bunbury). "Love triangles are tough, and it's made more difficult by the construct of our show… the way they orchestrated the time we spent in the alternate reality… you can see how that might complicate things."





For Marg Helgenberger, an upcoming episode shocked her -- and made her emotional.

"I couldn't believe what I do…I almost cried reading it," she said.





But naturally, Schlattmann was able to deliver some intriguing hints.

"Humanity may very well rest on Joe," he teased. "Christine is just getting warmed up with the stuff she has coming. Barbie may want to start thinking about shopping at Toys 'R' Us."
