Question Would HD Been Better Sans Joanie

I mean, the Cunninghams survived Chuck's disappearance so I'm wondering if Joanie had also exited about the same time would it have killed the show?

I think they could have replaced her with another actress perhaps?

i liked Joanie, and thought Erin Moran did a good job with her, but I thought they should have done more with her character and introduced Jenny Picalo and her other friends earlier in the series

So we're gonna send Joanie to her death or disappearance after the oldest kid disappears? I've seen this episode it's called Texas Wrestling in the 80's, and it would've turned out the same. The fans would've turned against the show, and it would've died a slow death.

I think it would've been better without the whole "Joanie loves Chachi" scheme. The whole thing felt very forced.

Cool

Without Joanie Happy Days would have gone off the air when Ron Howard and Donny Most left the cast.

Default Joanie Erin MORAN

My wife HATED Joanie. Everything about her. Her character, her name, her voice, her FACE and especially the actress who played her. Although she's NOT a fan favorite with most, she was necessary to the show. Agreed.

I liked her best when she was younger.

The show would've been a lot nicer without Flip & KC, they screwed it up

I think they could have found a better actress to play Joanie. Granted, Erin Moran was good at playing a bratty child, but she wasn't ingenue material. When Joanie had to grow up, Erin didn't fit the bill. Also, I don't care if she and Scott Baio were doing it IRL, they had zero chemistry on screen.

Absolutely not. I like Joanie and don't have any problems with her on the show. I'm glad Erin Moran wasn't recast either, she did just fine. Plus the weakest season of Happy Days was when she left for the spin-off. I would agree though that Joanie wasn't the best name for a teenager.

No! Jenny was annoying and should have remained an unseen character.
