Because I had, pretty much, bleed dry what I can think of to write about the show itself, I was contemplating writing something to commemorate the fact that my last thread has seventy-five views and zero replies. There were a lot of things that happened in 1975 that I could have written about. I had the idea of doing a thread about the fact that actress Sutton Foster was born that year. To tell the truth, I had never heard of her until I saw her doing a "Sesame Street" routine. I have since heard about her being in a series on ABC Family called "Bunheads". Although I never watched the show. Is anyone here familiar with that series? In any event, before starting this post, I looked her up to see what I could learn about her. One thing that I found a little bit interesting is the fact that "Bunheads" only lasted for one season. It got mixed reviews and then their were some contract issues. It was referred to as a comedy/drama. I wondered whether it might have a page on this site. It does not. I guess that the people who run this site felt that, even though there was comedy in it, it did not qualify as a situation comedy. Who knows? In any event, I would now like to compare it to other shows that had relatively short lives. "Caroline in the City" lasted for four seasons. Now, compared to other sitcoms, that is a relatively short run. I think that we should compare it to other shows of the same period like "Seinfeld" and "Friends". I have read that these shows ended when they did because the people involved felt that it was in their best interest to leave people wanting more. Well, one episode that was made very close to the end of the fourth season was "Return of Sudsey Guy". The thing that sticks out in my mind about that episode was the site of Caroline jiggling her butt to the beat of "Funky Town". Man did that leave me wanting more!
