Some Interesting Numbers to call - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Remember when we used to have party lines??

1-845-425-9929 - recording: "You are calling a number on your partyline. Please hang up and wait for the phone to stop ringing. Then pick up and your party will be there."

Other goodies:

1-510-643-0004 - Some kind of monitor? (Street noise audible,etc)

1-419-772-3073 - Elevator (Talk to whoever is inside it)

1-501-906-0516 - Door Intercom (Talk to whoever is going in or out)

I remember calling 123456789*0# And would get a recording something like, "The number you have dialed, 234-5678, is a test, hang up now, otherwise you will be billed for making this call." And we got billed !! lol

I have no idea what it was for.

Yes we had a # like that in my area when I was younger and I dialed it many times!!!!!! (I didnt realise) it said about the same thing you said yours said!!!! (Thankfully they took it all off the bill)

It was 2345678 and it said something like "You have reached test # 2345678 and the phone co. has arranged the billing for this call"
