after he left, was Frank ever mentioned again? Did they ever say what became of him?

I only recall Edith saying Frank was working on the road a lot when Irene was trying to find a job. Eventually he stopped being mentioned. I think Frank probably died considering Irene spent Thanksgiving with the family one year. Why else would she do this If Frank was alive? Or he could've been out of town lol. Liked Frank too bad Gardenia didn't like sitcom work.

I don't think he had much interest in it. He was a stage actor since he was a child and hanging around for a few lines as a neighbor 10 or 15 times a year wasn't what he wanted to do.
