That's what the baseball writers have been calling it the last few years. St.Louis seems to always find a way to win even when they're supposed to suck. Riots and protests going on around the town, the best prospect in all of baseball dies in a car accident, some of their best players are on the disabled list, the hacking scandal and this year they have the best record in all of baseball. The Cubs and Pirates are having a very good year but are way behind the Cardinals in the standings. I was reading a message some guy posted on another city's baseball forum and he said " I can't believe how the Cardinals keep winning, I honestly think that if St.Louis yanked a random fan out of the stands and gave him a bat that he could deliver a clutch hit for them." He may be right, living here as long as I have I know that just about everybody knows baseball. They know all the players, they know how to keep score and everybody has played this game. Sometimes I wish I were a baseball fan but I was born with too much football in my blood.
