Jack's Bistro didn't sell HARD LIQUOR. They did sell wine and beer. There's an entire episode about Jack getting his wine license. I guess you didn't see it.

I think you're talking about the episode where Teri's fiancée is out with some bimbo who goes across the street for some scotch or whiskey. It was definitely hard liquor that she wanted.... not wine or beer.

I remember the episode in which the TV star and the bimbo showed up at the restaurant. By the time that the bimbo went across the street for some hard liquor, she had already been offered wine that she did not want. This episode came after the episode about Jack getting his wine licence. It seemed that, before the building became Jack's Bistro, it had been a pick-up joint. With the help of a few other clergy, the local minister managed to close the restaurant. We got to meet Reverend Gilmore later in the same episode. It was never made clear what denomination he was, but it was implied that it was some type of Protestant. I wonder what denomination the ministers who helped him close the pick-up joint were. Maybe one of them was the minister who performed Janet's wedding ceremony in the final episode!

Right... that minister was objecting to the wine license because it used to be a place to pick up hookers. That was ridiculous. It became a nice, respectable family restaurant. There was nothing to object to.
