Default The time has come for this show to replace "One Day at a Time" on Antenna TV

One day at a time is a awful show and I would love to see this show get a second chance at syndication life and be added to Antenna TV. I would already know what I am getting into with this show since I loved Mel and Flo.

No one generated any laughs on One day at a time like on Alice

OMG, "Alice" is a billion times better than "One Day At A Time" IMO.
I love Mel's Diner, Alice, Flo, Vera, Mel and Tommy. The show was even still good after Flo left. ODAAT totally sucked once the girls got older, and it sucked worse when Julie left. Also, IMO, Ann Romano got unbearable, her mother was annoying, Alex was a total nerd and even Barbara got on my nerves.
Alice never got old. I always loved that show..... one my favorite '70s show.

I've never seen Alice but it sounds like a good show and probably is better than One Day at a Time. One Day at a Time is alright but you're right that it's not that funny, probably the least funny of the Norman Lear shows imo. But it's still a decent show.

I absolutely agree. Alice deserves to be rerun on Antenna TV or ME TV. It's a show that has had a long and successful run and right now it isn't shown anywhere.

YES!!!!!! Bring Alice back!!! I LOVE that show!!!

I don't want it to replace One day at a time though, cause I like that show too, and I hope they run it through again cause I missed a lot of eps. Anyway back to Alice, I wish they would find a place for it on Antenna Or METV!!!

Ya know what would be really cool? If Antenna put Alice and One day at a time on back to back! Because that is how it was on first run back in the day, they were both on Sunday nights, same channel!

I think Alice would do very well on Antenna TV, even though I don't get the channel I'd still be happy for those who do.

ODAAT just needs to be released as a complete series set instead of airing in reruns....like the way they did with Mary Hartman.

Alice should be paired with ODAAT like it was in the old days.

YES!!!!!!

It was cool, Alice and Ann were both newly single women ( Alice widowed, and Ann divorced) leaving their home town and being on their own. Alice with her son, and Ann with her girls! And remember the opening theme in Alice was her driving a white station wagon , like the first season of OTAAT with that old pink station wagon!

These two shows would be PERFECT paired together like they were before!!!

The problem is that ONE DAY is a Sony property, of which most of Antenna's schedule is composed. ALICE belongs to Warner Bros. and they are quite reluctant to license out any of their vintage shows to retro networks such as Antenna or Me.

I'm (mock) outraged at the title on this thread. How, with all of the platforms to land this show on, or of all the choices on Antenna to have it replace, how could one petition to remove Barbara Cooper from television?

Alice Hyatt was much more likeable than Ann Romano. Ann could be a harping, nagging, annoying shrew.

I mostly remember ALICE, but it's another I haven't seen in a long time. Flo got a spinoff, right?
