Did you ever agree to do something and shortly after thinking about it wished you hadn't? One of those times for me was when I was in 5th grade.
I was sitting in class when the vice principal came on the intercom and asked for me to come down to the principal's office. My heart started beating really fast and I started shaking thinking that one of my crimes must have been discovered. I went down there and waited outside his office still trying to think of what I did and if I should just run home. I gave up on the idea of running home since he knew where I lived and he eventually opened his door and asked me to come in. He then asked me if I would like to be a crosswalk guard and I said " I guess so " I was anxious to leave because I was nervous talking to him. He handed me an orange belt that wrapped around the shoulder and told me I would have to get to school 30 minutes early and I would be 30 minutes late leaving school. As I was walking back to class I got to thinking about it and got really bummed out, I had a hard time getting up for school as it was, why didn't I tell him no? The school used two crosswalk guards, one at each end of the school. When I first went to this school kids would talk about something that happened a couple of years back where this kid dropped his papers under a bus and the bus ran over his head and killed him, it happened right where I would be working as a crosswalk guard. I kept looking at that spot where they said it happened and I kept thinking " I don't want this job. " I was a terrible crosswalk guard, a couple of times kids were almost run over because I was busy bulls***ing with my friends. Luckily, I only had to do it for a couple of weeks and they replaced me with another chump. The next year I was sitting in my house watching tv and my younger brother came home all excited carrying an orange belt, " Guess what? " " They made me a crosswalk guard. " I told him he would have to get to school early and he would be late getting home and he said " Awwww sh** " He only lasted a couple of days because he got into a fight with some kid when he was supposed to be helping people cross the street. He was stripped of his belt and given a dishonorable discharge. |

I have done a lot of things that I've regretted in my life . My biggest regret is not having more children. I have two adult children whom I love very much. They are a girl and a boy. But I wish now that I had had at least 1 or 2 more.

I do too, I have regrets , I'm not really wanting to list them right now really. I would have liked to have had a girl. I love my two boys, don't get me wrong, but I'd like to have had one more and be a girl. But than who knows? Maybe it would have been another boy! Something that used to make me sad was after my first husband and I divorced, he remarried, and guess what? His new wife had a baby girl!! YEP!! Well at least it gave my son's a sister, even if I couldn't be her mother too! Oh well! When I got with my present husband we were not that young anymore, and he had two kids already and didn't really want more , so we never had any together! When I first saw this thread, my mind right away went straight to this great old Frank Sinatra song "My Way" Regrets I've had a few But then again too few to mention I did what I had to do And saw it through without exemption I planned each charted course Each careful step along the byway And more, much more than this I did it my way |

Not being free to follow my dreams because my mom put me in some state-run job training program I wanted no part of, then not working several years until getting dead end job at a supermarket, working 13 years until I quit after something happened between me and a customer, followed by unsuccessfully trying to find work while I ended up squandering my saving account, which included my profit sharing I accumulated from all my years there. I quit after my mom passed away. Been having trouble finding work since.

My biggest regret is spending too many years dwelling on regrets.

I didn't mind going to school my beast year was in elementary school but I didn't like high school I had no job no girls hardly talked to me I barley had any friends then they were some people trying to find me a job but then they said I couldn't have a job cause I didn't know how to drive but I just don't know why I went to school I never did get a job I got one job working at grocery story I hate it it was only a summer job after i got out of high school then the people wanted me to go to this collage but their was no fast foods no movie theaters no fast food places it was basically out in middle of no where I didn't go to collage but I disable now I hadn't had job at last 20 years or more at least 10 to 15 years last job I had was in summer 2000. I did work in during high school it was summer job I was janitor at ymca camp I enjoyed it cause I got to listen to my music while I worked if I didn't get to do that then I probably would have hated my job if I couldn't listen to my music .

I regret not going to college and also getting married at 19. But that's water under the bridge.
