Default So Richard Kline-(Larry Dallas) from Three's Company guest starred in 11:30pm episode

Small Wonder

He is playing some type of boss who has his own office and acts just like Larry but only has the name roger.

I thought Three's Company was On and was like........"damm it's 12am alrerady and realized it was him in a episode of One Day at a time lol

It felt like a "backdoor pilot" to me.

Nice to see Richard Kline in a different role. And also Keenan Wynn who can just stand there and be funny with that face built for comedy.

But wasn't Kline pretty much locked into Three's Company
at the time?

Yes, he was still contracted to play lecherous but lovable Larry Dallas. I just thought the show seemed like a backdoor pilot because the show was done without the main cast in half of the scenes. It seemed like they were introducing a new set up.

That's exactly what i thought.

I checked the dates and Larry still had at least 1/2 season left before Threes Company ended.

I would have liked to have seen that sitcom.

Yeah, but it seems like it would have been in the "so bad it's kind of good" category.
