Sad I hate my VCR!!!!

My VCR has messed up for the last three nights in taping Family Ties!!! I hate it! The worst part is that I missed the episodes with Tom Hanks in them. They are two of my favorite episodes!

(Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. It depresses me.)
(but I'll get over it)

Family Ties Quotes:

Mallory: Alex, I told you whenever you take a message to write down who called, when they called, and what it was about.
Alex: I did. Somebody stupid called, sometime today, about something trivial.
Mallory: Alex, you know that could be ANY one of my friends.

Mallory: I know you came into my room and read my diary Alex!
Alex: Don't be silly, I just came into your room to get a book.
Mallory: Ha! What would a book be doing in my room!
Alex: *shrugs* She's got me there.

Mallory: You guys, I would like you to meet someone. This is Jamie Carter.
Alex: AHHH!!!! *jumps onto Steven's lap*
Steven: Alex, she said "Jamie" not "Jimmy".
Alex: *to Jamie* Oh. You should seriously consider getting that changed.

Jennifer: There is nothing like a smile from a hunk.
Mallory: I know, it's even better than when you walk into your
classroom and you see a movie projector set up.

Awwwww

BTW, which are the two w/ Tom Hanks in them? Do you mean the one where he has a drinking problem?

No, I was referring to the two parter where he was running from the police. I think the title was the Fugitive Part 1 & 2. They are so funny!!

Oh man, i'm sorry. I know what it's like to have vcr problems. My vcr was so messed up at one point that I had to buy a new one. I hope that's not the case for you. Another thing that sucks is when your getting ready to record something, and you find your remote is out of batteries and there's no batteries in the house. With my tv you need the remote to record something.

Wink thanks for your sympathy!

Accually, I just got this VCR like six months ago (my last one broke down... go figure!).
But, I think I got it working again.
I'm gonna give it one more chance.......if it fails, then I guess I have no choice but to throw it out the window!

Wink There ya Go!

I know how it is, when you want to record something and the darn thing wants a day off. I use mine so much i just give up when they break down and buy a new one.

Besides your know it is about 40 or 50 bucks to fix them. And if it is a simple thing they still have to charge you a bench fee just to open it!

Still haven't gotten myself a DVD player.

Sometimes though it's just a simple problem so before throwing it out you should make sure it's not just some simple thing. Technology has just become so complex you know. My new computer was busted for like a month. I was so mad that I literally almost threw it out the window. Then I just got a little more info and fixed it myself. Sometimes these problems can seem alot worse then they are. But i'm glad your vcr is working for now. I hope it keeps working for you!

If it does break down you might want to consider getting a tv/vcr combo. That's what iv'e had now for over a year and I haven't had a single problem. There very reliable, and they couldn't be any easier to use.

get an hitachi vcr.. mines from 83.. stereo.. PERFECt.. gives a picture like a dvd.. they dont make them nemore like they did.. things are such crap... i guess you pay for what you get..

my vcr.. lol

Your picture was way too big which caused problems with the page being stretched out and hard to read for many people - Therefore, I removed the picture. I don't feel it added anything anyway. /Daniel

I have "The Fugitive" part 1 & 2 in case you're interested. My VCR was working when they showed those episodes a week ago. I love Tom Hanks so I taped the episodes. Maybe I can get a copy to you. If you're interested, e-mail me at swingindrumman@aol.com.

Thanks for you offer, but I think I can wait until nick-at-nite re-airs it. They have been showing 2 episodes a night, 7 days a week. That makes them go through the seasons REALLY quickly. I'm a huge Tom Hanks fan too! The other one where he was an alcholic was on last night. It was good!

Thumbs up The drunk episodes!

I like it when Tom Hanks is Drunk and alex is with him in the kitchen. Alex says "your drunk"

And tom Hanks gets mad...Looks him right in the eye, pushing him to the wall (sort of) and says in an angry voice. "You Think I'm Drunk?... Let me tell you something Buddy!...IM DRUNK!"

oh the fear in alex's eyes!
