Default Community getting a 7th/final season?

Is Community, airing currently in Yahoo! online, going to get a 7th-final season offer?

Nothing's official yet but I don't think there will be a seventh season. Yahoo, however, seems to want more episodes. So for the first time in the show's history, the threat of it ending is not from a network (or streaming site) but rather because those making the show are ready to move on.

All the actor's contracts have expired and many of them have new shows coming out soon. So it may be hard to wrangle this group together for another set of 13 episodes.

A movie, however, will probably happen but not right away. Series creator Dan Harmon stated that Yahoo wants to make the movie now but he'd rather wait until he misses the show first.

If it doesn't come back for another season, I'm fine with that. I love this show but I feel we have enough to be happy with the show's run. Six seasons, 110 episodes, any more seasons could (and probably would) result in even more cast members leaving (following Chevy Chase, Donald Glover and Yvette Nicole Brown). This isn't "Saved by the Bell: The New Class" where cast changes occurred every season and no one but Belding was in both the first and final seasons. Plus the finale was great and felt more like a series finale anyways.

...this is not like Parks And Rec, which that show had 7 seasons, and this show has 6?

Well Parks & Recreation was owned by NBC, so I imagine that's why they brought it back for a seventh season (even though I wish they hadn't). Community is a Sony show and even though they were both about the same in the ratings, NBC still cancelled the one and brought the other one back.

As for a seventh season of Community, that's up to Dan Harmon (the creator) and the cast availability. It appears Yahoo wants more Community but the cast is scattering with other projects (Ken Jeong is on "Dr. Ken", Paget Brewster is on "Grandfathered", Gillian Jacobs is on some new Judd Apatow Netflix series, Danny Pudi and Alison Brie always seem to be busy).

For right now I'm under the belief that there will be no seventh season but of course you can't go by me. I'm just a fan of the show. I don't have any inside knowledge, just what news reports come out online.

I LOVE the show, it's one of my all-time favorites. But I don't want a 7th season. The Season 6 finale was perfect as a series finale, and it's obvious most of the cast is ready to move on. I think a wrap-up movie, about a year from now, sounds like a perfect way to let go of the series. And preferably the movie would bring back all of the shows' departed cast members (maybe not Chevy since it'd be hard to justify bringing his character back from the dead.)

We haven't really heard anything "official" but as of now it seems like a movie is likely and a 7th season is less so, but not impossible.

Now this is getting off-balanced right now:

Parks And Recreations had 7 and Community has 6? I don't know about this...
