BBC Unveils Three-Day "Doctor Who" Festival in London
BBC Unveils Three-Day "Doctor Who" Festival in London
by Alex Ritman 6/5/15 Announced Thursday, the Doctor Who Festival due to take place in London Nov 13-15 will feature sets and props from season eight and the upcoming ninth season of the hit show, interactive workshops to learn the production process, cosplay competitions, the all-important Doctor Who shopping village and, of course, the opportunity to come up close and personal with key talent, including Peter Capaldi and showrunner Steven Moffat. Naturally, given increasing TARDIS running expenses, all of this comes at a cost. While prices of the various opportunities to say cheese next to Capaldi or make bunny ears behind a Cybermen are yet to be revealed, entry tickets for adults start at $100, and go up to $168 for a luxury pass including lounge access, priority theater seats and a goody bag. Should the next season of "Doctor Who" see the Timelord brandish a Prada-designed, jewel-encrusted sonic screwdriver as he battles titanium, biofuel-powered Daleks, its clear where the finances came from. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...-doctor-800310 |
