I didnt know how else to word it out.. Who came off as a jerk?
Aside from the usual suspects like Chad Noe and Paul Pollis.. I just watched the Jim Boumgarden segment again (To refresh your memory, this is the man who claims his twin who he had never met was seen everywhere and he was looking for him since they were both adopted) Anyways, his brother came off as a jerk.. When anyone approached him, he'd give them a dirty look and walk away. Or just leave them hanging if they came up to him and talked to him. The least he couldve done is say "Sorry I think you are mistaken" and walk away. But at least in the reenactment, he never did that. |

I'd have to say Ida Pruitt moreso than Chad. She's something of a forum joke around here. Just a rude, snappy old bat.

Well, I think there are numerous similar threads on here, including one I started called "People on UM you tried to like, but just couldn't.", so I'll refrain from duplicating my responses.
I did, however, want to mention one new one I just discovered. Larry Costine's ex-wife. Basically, the sum of her interview was griping about her ex and suggesting he got what was coming to him. She seemed like a cold, heartless you-know-what. |

Her interview contributed absolutely nothing to the segment. Seriously. She just complained about her (murdered!) ex's behavior and implied that's what got him killed. Classy. |

The entire Noe family.
Beyond them...the psycho hitchiker who killed Philip Frasier. His sketches are nuts and the testimony of the cafe workers that dealt with him....ugh. |

Joe Nickell, the skeptic from the Spontaneous Human Combustion segment ("the mystery mongers ought to shut up and get a life", "this is crackpottery of the highest order").
John DeSanto, the prosecuting attorney from the Larry Race case. Whether he's right or not, that "not appropriate for Unsolved Mysteries" comment still comes off as extremely condescending. |

Id like to add the family of Lady. The collie who ran away & found her way back to them. As a huge animal lover, it bugged me how they didn't care what happened to wolfka the other dog. They were more concerned about lady. They did mention they hoped wolfka found a new family but even that is kinda cold hearted

I do think the whole satanic cult theory was BS, though. And I don't believe there was a party held at the house after the murders. I do, however, believe there might have been 1 or 2 others there and several more who knew what happened. So, the father was on the right track but took it way too far and came to some absurd conclusions. I think the whole "satanic" thing was just a way of people back then trying to explain abhorrent behavior. Humans have always tried to make "sense" of tragic events in many different ways. Back then the whole notion that "satan did it" was popular, especially among religious people. Today "terrorism" seems to be a popular explanation. |

It was a little fluff segment, but I guess it brought a lighthearted feel between crime segments. |
