Default Reposessing a coffee table!!!

WTF?????? A coffee table??? How much would a single coffee table cost in 1980? I could see a whole living room set of furniture repossessed . Or a TV or car. But just one coffee table? Damn Max and Julie were really broke /in debt!

How about in the restaurant, his cards getting turned down. Scraping up just enough cash, even taking his sister in laws 10 dollars and emergency dime! LOL!!! And Max didn't even seem that embarrassed!!!

They took everything from him. He got a loan to pay off the credit cards from homey finance and when he bought more stuff, they repossessed his stuff and his hat. Lol

This infamous ep aired last night!!!

I had to laugh at a line that Ann said " We are all going to laugh about this one day"

Yep, 35 years later people are laughing about and posting on line about it!

Another thing about this ep. was when Ann went to the ladies room, and the fiasco started up about the credit cards being declined! Conveniently between the three of them at the table they were able to come up with the cash for the check ( Even including Barbara's emergency dime ) And it was all resolved the whole time Ann was in the restroom. Talk about perfect timing! Only thing she couldn't get desert!

And Julie looking so beat and run down and old. She looked like she was in her 40's, like she could play Max's Mother instead of his wife! All the credit they ran up ,and it sure looked like she wasn't spending any at the beauty parlor!

LOL! What a difference a year makes!

A year ago I was laughing about a coffee table being repossessed and now I am fantasizing about being a restaurant owner with a handsome deadbeat customer! (as per the A-Z thread) !
