Canada's CTV Renews "Motive" for 4th Season, but ABC Drops It
ABC Pulls Plug on "Motive", Canada's CTV Renews Crime Drama
by Etan Vlessing 6/1/15 ABC is not going ahead with a fourth season of "Motive", The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed, while Canada's CTV has renewed the homegrown crime-solving drama. The detective procedural, from "Dexter" and "The Mentalist" executive producer Daniel Cerone, will return to production on another 13 episodes in Vancouver this fall. The latest CTV order will bring the series total to 52 episodes, and comes before the Canadian third season finale on June 7. At the same time, an ABC spokesperson said the Canadian acquisition will not return to the U.S. network after three seasons. The third season on CTV has so far drawn an average audience of 1.3 million viewers, according to Numeris data, and performed well for the Canadian network in the key 18-34 demo. The drama from Foundation Features and Lark Productions stars Kristin Lehman as Angie Flynn, a detective and single mom, while her detective partner is played by Louis Ferreira. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...canadas-799141 |

That's too bad, it was a pretty good show. And I also liked the addition of Warren Christie's character, Mark. They'll probably put in another reality type show to replace it.
