Give the lady credit, for taking a role purely for the money (she needed to buy a car), she didn't phone in her performance. Mrs. Voorhees became one of the most iconic roles in horror history.

i remember watching Betsy Palmer on "I've Got A Secret " and other game shows. She had that great big smile. She also played Valene Ewing's aunt on "Knots Landing". May she rest in peace.
