Star Wars ep 7. Luke Sywalker's Role in this Story

POSSIBLE SPOILERS POSSIBLE SPOILERS POSSIBLE SPOILERS.

There has been little said or even implied on The only living Jedi's, Luke Skywalker, role in this story. The trailers basically tell us nothing, giving us a lack of information on Skywalker in EP 7

All that we know for sure is that not only is he the only Jedi left, but he has become amazingly powerful, and no longer needing a lightsaber to fight a battle. And apparently that is because he has not fought a battle in many years.

But that info was not enough for me, so I decided to scan the web for anything and everything concerning his role in this story and here is what I found.


Many fans believe that Luke Skywalker has become another Darth Vader, a very evil Jedi Knight that has turned to the dark side and is feared. But from what I've learned, this couldn't be further from the truth.

Luke Skywalker, from what I have found online, has become a hermit, very much like Obi Wan was in EP 4, isolating himself on a deserted island. Luke has grown more powerful with the force than Anikan and Obi Wan combined. as powerful with the force as Yoda had. He seems to be able to move objects without even willing them and feels he has no control over his power and this is one reason for his glowing eyes.

He has not been seen by anyone in many years and because of his fear of becoming evil and going over to the dark side, and hurting others, he aims to remain totally isolated. His biggest fear is that he will follow in his fathers footsteps and become another Vader.

Apparently something powerful is threatening the existence of the galaxy, something that only a powerful Jedi can stop. So now they go looking for the only Jedi left, Luke Skywalker to help them stop it. That's as far as I got with my online searching. You may be able to guess what happens after that. I mean after all, is Luke really going to say no to saving the galaxy?
