Default Let's talk Cliff

Was it realistic that Cliff Randall, who was obviously sexually active [exhibit one:his kid], would date Barbara "I'm waiting till marriage" Cooper, no matter what she looked like?

It's possible that Cliff was getting some nookie on the side, or it's also possible that Cliff was willing to wait for a girl like Barbara.

Maybe he learned his lesson that it's better to wait til you're married to have sex so your child has BOTH parents living together under one roof.

LOL Yeah!! OK!! A good looking, charming guy like Cliff. In a world before HIV/ AIDS was around (or known of) ? I don't think so. I'd say he was getting a little nookie on the side since good girl Barbara wasn't putting out. Even an unplanned pregnancy and child already like he had isn't going to stop a horny young man , esp. one that girls would obviously be attracted to!

You make it sound like anyone who has/had sex outside of marriage automatically had kids.

With the early characters that made later appearances (e.g. David, Bob),I'm surprised Cliff didn't pop up down the road. Maybe the real life break-up hindered it?

Oops, I shouldn't assume everyone at an ODAAT board knows all the back story. Basically, Valerie Bertinelli and Scott Columby dated, then she cheated, then they broke up [source: her book].

Oo, interesting...so they dated while during that time on the show? Interesting...yeah I don't know anything she's revealed cause I haven't read her book, but I've read Mack's so I know everything she's mentioned, lol.

Since he showed up last night, here's my previous Cliff topic. All questions and real life gossip still apply.

ONLY if "Dating" automatically means "having sex". Which it does not always mean that.

Well they were I am sure! I remember reading somewhere that they were really in a serious relationship. He might have been her "first" or soon after her first time. But yeah I'm sure they were having sex!

Losing It, by Valerie Bertinelli- page 56 re:Scott -"We skipped dessert and went to his house, where we made love for the first time".

That's cool! Skipping dessert and getting "to it" sounds good to me
