George Clooney would have made an awesome love interest for Barabara
He was a heartthrob during the 80s and played several people's boyfriends on TV. He would have been perfect to play a boyfriend for her but it was more realistic for her to marry someone who was normal looking like Mark.

His first "credit" is
Centennial (TV Mini-Series) Village Extra (uncredited) 1978 so its possible he could have went to some audition and got it, but, yeah, things didn't really start moving for him till after the show was off the air. |
