Default Antenna TV skipping episodes aired during Mother's Day marathon

This may be bad news for you folks who did not see or record the marathon last week. I looked at the schedule for the next few days once season 4 ends the episodes won't be in order anymore. All the season 5 episodes that were aired in the marathon will be skipped so the ones that were not played are the only ones that will air as of now. They will probably be aired during the next rotation.

Well that sucks. I don't know why they are doing that. I DVR'd the season 4 episodes in the marathon but none of the others.

It was definitely bad news for me since I may not get to see those skipped eps because there is no guarantee Antenna will give the show another full cycle

Dang! So much negativity. The EPISODES AIRED! LOL. They did not air in the traditional format but Antenna did air them. I, for one, am grateful the show is on TV and I have access to it. Can we find some positive ground somewhere? Plus, I have a feeling that the show will do another rotation soon.

I'm just saying for those who wanted to complete their collection of ODAAT doesn't have that opportunity

Maybe so but most people want eps in order when they are building a collection

Then if they want them, they will tape them the next rotation and have to accept that the recordings will not be in order unless they arrange them via DVD recordings. There is always a way to work with a situation and this one is a simple one.

I don't disagree with the original poster, but the whole thing doesn't make sense since they already gave second airings of episodes from seasons 1, 2 and 3 during the marathon, so why wouldn't second airings in the regular rotation be the same thing?

Yes ODAAT was licensed for a contracted length of time, it will be around for quite awhile unless the ratings tank....The Monkees, Gidget, The Flying Nun, Father Knows Best, Hazel, Dennis The Menace, etc have all been on since Antenna TV launched 3 years ago!

The last episode "Off We Go" #208 5/21/84 was aired @2:30AM eastern during the marathon, so they will skip it in favor of running episode #1 for a third time? Not including the schneider pilot which was #209 and only featured Valerie Bertinelli for a few seconds at the beginning on the phone.

It is a bit weird to do it that way, but it actually works for me, as Mothers day was naturally Ann focused, and I'm here for Barbara.

I'm with you, since age 12 I've been with "Barbara", now 52, I met her several times and confirmed with her that it was her actual autograph on a first season photo I got back from a fan letter I wrote in early 1976.

She said quote, "Yes every Friday night during the first few seasons, my father made me sit at the kitchen table and sign the pictures personally" I gave her a DVD of appearances I had recorded on VHS of her on talk shows like Merv Griffen, Hollywood Squares, and her very rare shot in London starring "ABC Afternoon Special". She replied she had none of that stuff.

Yes the marathon was and should have been geared towards Ann "mothers' episodes" that is why I did feel it was odd that they aired the touching episode where "Barbara" learns she cannot have a baby.

Guys hold your horses. This is not a totally bad thing. At least the episodes being skipped were aired right. Many people did record the marathon so they will be able to still follow the show and build their collections so it is not a waste to everyone.

Even if those episodes do not air again it is not really a total loss because missing a few episodes from a collection is not the end of the world. I have many collections that are not 100 percent complete but that does not keep me up at night. I just completed my One Day at a Time set because the only episode I needed aired last Sunday.

If Small Wonder (90 something episodes) is getting a second and third cycle (confirmed by Antenna on Facebook) then One Day at a Time will for sure get at least one more cycle.

No need for such negativity.

PS: The schedule I saw only covers the next 2 weeks so those episodes may air at a later date. The episodes from season 5 in that marathon seem to not be playing but that may not be the case for season 6-9.

Yeah. You didn't know that? LOL. Corey Feldman was in it as well. Barbara books him a trio to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale to see after his nephew and niece. He then decides to stay.
