I would love to see a reunion show. By that, I mean one where the actors got into character. I would love to see where they would be now. Do you think Barbara and Mark ever adopted a child/children? Julie could have come back, and it could be explained that she came back very soon after leaving Max and little Annie, thereby restoring her character. Little Annie would be in her 30s now, around the same age Ann was when the show started. They will probably never do this without Bonnie Franklin, but I think they could do it and honor her at the time. Her character could be referred to often, and she could still be the center point of the show. I think all the others are still alive and able to do a show. Joseph Campanella is 90 years old, but he would probably still be able to play Ed. They could do a scene where the girls and Ed talk about Ann. In the series run, I never remember an episode where the girls and Ed sit down by themselves and talk about Ann. A reunion show could address how much things have changed since the 1970s, etc.
