How's this for a tag scene over the end credits. Everybody is in the living room watching TV. Jim takes the remote and changes the channel; out of the TV comes the theme from "The Rockford Files" (of course, the audience never sees the TV screen throughout the whole scene). Cate doesn't want to watch this, so she takes the other remote (okay, so they have two remotes for one TV) and changes the channel, coming up to a show in which the opening theme is "Love and Marriage" by Frank Sinatra. Jim doesn't like that show, pointing out "That lazy woman looks like a fifty dollar..." Before he can finish the sentence, a shocked Cate gives her father a "Well, I never!" look, stands up, throws her remote down and storms out. Jim puts his show back on, but Laura (in a guest appearance) doesn't want to watch that one either so she takes the unused remote and changes to another station in which we hear the theme to "The Bob Newhart Show". As the grandparents engage in a remote battle, flipping between the two chosen stations, C.J. exclaims: "You're both driving me crazy; why don't you just shoot me!" and leaves with the other kids following.
