Long-running ABC comedy "Modern Family" has been renewed for Season 7.

Excellent, the show is still funny and I haven't tired yet of it's umpteenth reruns.

I just found out at The Futon Critic that Modern Family's current 7th season will only have 22 episodes. I find it unfair because last November, ABC ordered an additional two episodes each of The Middle, The Goldbergs, Black-ish, and Fresh Off the Boat, bringing their orders to 24 from an initial 22. I also find this fact disappointing because all of Modern Family's previous seasons had 24 episodes each. This sucks. I think they should have ordered 24 episodes of Modern Family right out of the gate.
