30 years without Dolph Sweet...
Though Dolph Sweet didn't act sweet as Chief Carl Kaniski, I heard he was someone that the cast has talked to about his life in World war II, Theater, and football. Even Nell Carter sang to him on his deathbed at a hospital and gave his eulogy (I wonder if she sang at Sweet's funeral as well)? But on his funeral, the season finale aired and his last words on TV were "Is Julie in there"?

sometimes he was nice n funny on gimme a break but It was not the same without him on there when he passed on.he n neil and the girs made the show what it was. anyone else agree

Is the Chief's death in the show? When does it appear?
I do have to say the Chief wasnt really a likable guy. I mean he was so strict and mean to Nell. |
