I would say the winners for most time devoted to a case would be the Son of Sam or Alcatraz, am I forgetting any that UM devoted more than usual time to or do these two take the cake?

They Huey Long, Amelia Earhart, and The Boston Strangler segments were certainly long.

The Georgia Rudolph reincarnation segment was pretty long, as I recall. Then, factor in the update with the guy who claimed he was the reincarnation of the boyfriend and you're looking at probably 25-30 minutes of running time.

Alcatraz, I believe, was a half hour. I also think the Circleville Writer was a half hour... although I would have watched a full hour on that one.
I also thought the Amelia Earhart segment was pretty long. Interesting, but a bit too long for my tastes. |

Michael Rosenblum is nearly 20 minutes (without commercials) which is pretty lengthy for that type of segment.

Jeffrey MacDonald got 32 minutes, but that was special circumstances since it was the featured case on their debut episode of the Final Appeal spin-off series.

The Joe Owens segment (when it appeared on Lifetime) was 18 minutes long if you include the short update afterward. I'm sure when it originally aired on NBC it might have been slightly longer since Lifetime had a habit of cutting 1-2 minutes of footage from every segment they aired. But I watched this one recently for the first time in several years and was surprised how long it was.
The Tammy Leppert segment was a little over 13 minutes long. Interestingly, a newspaper article that promoted the original broadcast had a quote from Tammy's mother where she said while she was grateful for UM broadcasting the story, but there was no way to tell the full story of Tammy's life and disappearence in just 13 minutes. |

I think Johnny Lee Wilson and Dan Montecalvo's segments were roughly 15-18 minutes each. I think they were longer because they were filmed for the UM spinoff series "Final Appeal".

Richard Minns took up a good part of the episode it was on. I remember Katherine Bennett on that episode and nothing else.
Gulf Breeze UFO's. If you include both versions of the segment (with and without Ed Walters in silouhette) and the update, that would probably run a full episode. Victorio Peak treasure, when you factor in the long update, it comes out to a good chunk of time. |

Donnie Hansen got roughly a half hour. I still say he knew more than he led on about his sister's deaths whether he pulled the trigger or not

Do any of you remember the specials of UM that lasted an hour with Robert Stack? Like one was just on Huey Long and one on WWII. About 15 yrs ago on some local station, it played and It had the UM theme shortened and it was a whole hour. |

Seem to remember a Roswell special they did around 1994-it aired on Sky over here & I think it was about 90 minutes sans adverts.
