Default Never heard of CBS Journalist Eric Sevareid until Barbara mentioned him tonight

She was poking fun at Julie crushing on a older man and she brought up this guy LOL

I was just watching an episode of Mary Tyler Moore a few days ago where he was referred to. I do remember Eric Sevareid, though. He was very famous and had a really, really long career and was there through many of the seminal moments of our nation's history.

I remember seeing him a lot on The CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite -- he was on every night I think (or at least it seemed that way), giving a special commentary. Roger Mudd was another CBS journalist who appeared a lot in the '70s.
