It sounds like the company didn't have a logout/tagout procedure in place, which is ridiculous.
I think OSHA has stated that those kind of ovens should be reclassified as a confined space, which means that Melena would have been required to get another employee to stand outside the oven while he went in to check things or make repairs. |
