ESPN sues Verizon for attempting to sell "skinny bundles" of cable channels

In Canada, the CTRC gave the cable companies the green-light to offer their customers skinny packages.

this pisses me off so much - they want to force people to pay for ESPN and other channels they don't want by tying them in with the channels people do want - ESPN is one of the most expensive channels for cable companies to carry and it is being subsidized by the packages it is in.

I have literally never watched ESPN since ESPN2 carried hockey (and did so terribly) - they need to give people a choice or they will go somewhere else.

Other channels do the same thing. I have to pay for the NBA and NHL Channels if I want the NFL Network or MLBN and I never watch them. I even have to get the Golf Channel and Tennis Channel which is even worse. It's ridiculous.
