Default Grey's Anatomy shocker didn't surprise Patrick Dempsey

http://www.ew.com/article/2015/04/23...psey-interview

"It just sort of evolved," he tells EW of Thursday's episode. "It's just kind of happened. It really was something that was kind of surprising that unfolded, and it just naturally came to be. Which was pretty good. I like the way it has all played out." But was Dempsey surprised? "No, not really," he says. "It was just a natural progression with the way the story was unfolding."

I wasn't shocked either...kinda expected it cause they kept giving us small clues...I never thought they would actually do it...and in my never to be humble opinion its a bad move....just saying...the show wont be the same without him....

You don't think we'll see him plenty, in Meredith's mind ? and in cuts from the past?

They'll probably show him for a little while and then his death will fade away like Izzie, George, Lexie and Mark.

Default McDreamy deserved a better Grey's Anatomy sendoff

http://www.vulture.com/2015/04/greys...rved-more.html

Dr. Derek Shepherd's abrupt death "felt like actual real life had crept too close to fiction," says Lindsey Weber. "If behind-the-scenes drama motivated his death, as rumors suggest, does this constitute irresponsible storytelling?" She adds: "It felt sad, sure, but it wasn't just the fact of his death that disturbed viewers. It was how upsettingly random it felt, even within Grey's universe, where emotional builds are to be expected. When has Grey's ever killed anyone so important, so quickly?" PLUS: Death delivers the best ratings since the season premiere, Grey's proves it's the best when it comes to goodbyes, Grey's is no longer worth watching, and Meredith has become the unluckliest character, will Meredith return to her dark-and-twist self?, how much sadness can Meredith take?, Rhimes proves again she's not afraid to dump "problematic actors," and watch the official Derek Shepherd tribute video.

It's a shame he was killed off since he'd been on the show from the start. But if he was ready to leave the show and Shonda Rhimes was ready for him to leave then his death made for a good episode.

Default Scott Foley was "blown away" by Grey's Anatomy McDreamy death episode

http://www.eonline.com/news/653551/s...as-on-the-show

"I watched it happen," the Scandal star tells E! "I watched it live. It was crazy. I was on Grey's Anatomy and I couldn't believe it. Let's talk about that for a minute because I was blown away! Blown away. And I thought they did it so well. Like all the voice-over stuff. I was crazy for it. I thought it was great!"
