Default The Big Bang Theory will end the season on a cliffhanger

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...eason-8-790946

Two "huge" developments will happen in the May 7 Season 8 finale, says showrunner Steve Molaro.

I thought it was kind of a depressing episode.

SPOILERS AHEAD.

We see Amy only at the very beginning, when she exits their date after her feeling abandoned by Sheldon in favor of watching The Flash. When she returns at the very end, she breaks things off with him (at least for a while) and we discover that Sheldon has bought a ring for Amy.

Leonard confesses to Penny that he kissed another woman while he was away on the boat expedition. While Penny is trying to pretend it doesn't bother her that much, it clearly bothers her greatly. And they're on their way to Vegas to get married. Hmmm....

It's clear (to me) that there's not a lot of chemistry between Raj and Emily. She's cute, but they don't work for me as a couple. Raj is trying to tell her that he finds some of her ways disturbing and she takes it as a break up, so Raj clings on to her out of desperation and kisses her.

The Stu thing was the only thing that really wasn't depressing. Kind of silly, but at least it wasn't a downer.

I have a feeling Leonard and Penny will return from Vegas not married. I think they eventually will marry -- most likely in the final episode -- but we might see them take another break. Who knows? Just my take on it.

As for "Shamy," I don't know where this will go. Maybe the writers have hit a brick wall with them and don't know where to go? It's clear that Sheldon has very deep feelings for Amy, but it might not be enough for her anymore.

Stay tuned for next season..

it really seemed like they were trying to cram too much into one episode

it didn't really feel too much like a cliffhanger - i don't think Sheldon is going to propose, I am guessing that Leonard and Penny get married but it turns out to be a fake wedding, and Raj and Emily stay together for a little while longer and then she dumps him because he starts trying too hard to compensate for what isn't working.

Default Where does The Big Bang Theory go from here?

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...don-amy-793742

Showrunner Steve Molaro talks about the surprises on last night's season finale, and addresses whether there will be a time jump before next season.

I was disappointed in the episode....

Leonards swerve came out of nowhere and was soooo out of character in my never to be humble opinion.....

I don't watch BBT much but maybe this is a sign that the show has run its course? I know it's been on a long time and I'd hate to see them run it into the ground before they cancel it, which is what happens too often with good shows. That's a shame. Better to end on a high note the way they did with Frasier and Seinfeld.

I have gotten sick of everyone insisting that The Big Bang Theory end with its 10th season, especially after The Simpsons got renewed for Season 28 (which will be on the same season as TBBT's S10). Is TBBT trying to make themselves come and go under The Simpsons? I never wanted that to happen. Live-action sitcoms "going out on a high note" while animated shows do not so they can run far longer than them, it's not fair. There just shouldn't be a limit to how long TBBT runs for, if there wasn't a limit to how long The Simpsons runs for.

New fear: Two couples on the show engaged at the same time and the series will be driven to an end within two years.

"Stay Safe"? More like "Stay Sad".

I think the show should end when it has run out of gas. When they can't come up with fresh ideas or the actors are tired of playing the roles, then it should end.

It will be interesting to see how they resolve things in the fall.

If The Simpsons still airs new episodes after Big Bang ends, then it will really hurt. I am not going back to watching the exact same animated shows that are bound to run for 40-50 years once a good live-action show ends, if I have already abandoned that animated show once the live-action show debuted.
