While not nearly as exhaustive as our neighbor Iowa's database on cold cases (see the other recent thread), the State Patrol here created a series of 'playing cards' in 2010, describing a number of cold cases - the oldest of which goes back to 1969.
https://statepatrol.nebraska.gov/ColdCaseCards.aspx Some that stand out...... -Christi Nichols (disappeared in 1987, presumed dead...profiled on UM in 1988) -Donald Bennett (found dead in his home in Alma in 1988, his car being located a month later in Hollywood, CA) -Peak Family (husband, wife, 14yr old daughter found shot to death in Grand Island in 1972) -Mary Cronin (disappeared from Omaha in April of 1992, skull later found near South Bend in May of 1993) |
