The groundbreaking Asian-American comedy had its missteps in a "good" first season, says Lenika Cruz. But she adds it could be even better next season. "Having already proven its worth to audiences and critics," she says, "it's possible the show will take advantage of its enviable perch and head in the direction of even smarter, nuanced, and more progressive storylines.
