Default ThomasE, I see the opening credits for season 2 changed suddenly after the 4th ep

They got rid of the traveling to Indy footage and had clips of the show instead which was similar to the other Lear shows like Good Times, and the Jeffersons. Never happened with All in the Family

I don't understand why they changed it before David left the show.

Who is that dark haired lady in the maid's uniform? She's in the opening credits. I don't remember who she is.

That was Ginny . She was a neighbor. She only lasted one year.

I don't remember her at all. Maybe when I see her in an episode, it will ring a bell.

She's Mary Louise Wilson, a Tony Award-winning actress. She's in her 80s now and has apparently spent much of her career on stage.

I missed most of the opening sequence on the 2nd episode last night. I did notice there were some changes.

Btw, did David ever get a sendoff? I dont think he did but I didnt watch the 2nd episode, so I'm not sure.

I will miss this 56 Chrysler station wagon they show in season 1! What a cool car! If it was real life, hoping Ann held on to it. By the 90's that car would be a classic worth lots of money!

Yeah. When David left, the credits had to be updated, of course. No biggie. This was David's send off. we will see him again in four seasons as he tries to rekindle with Ann which makes Nick (current boyfriend/business partner) jealous.

For novelty, here is a custom made opening for season one. Now, I don't take responsibility for this one, though.

That looks a lot like the station wagon my old neighbors had in the early 1970s, although I think theirs was a Chevy Nomad. Us kids would climb up and sit on its roof...! (But in the summer, only when it was parked in the shade. lol)
