The Odd Couples

Hi everyone,

This post is about some of the Oddest (in my opinion) Celebrity Couples of all time; some Hollywood couples have romances that live on eternity, e.g. Bogie & Bacall and Lucy and Desi, but that's for another list.

Here are, in my personal opinion, the Top 5 Oddest Celebrity Couples.

1. Dustin "Screech" Diamond & Candace Cameron -- Before marrying retired Hockey player Val Bure, Candace Cameron, via various reputable sources such as TV.com, reportedly dated, in real life, Dustin "Screech" Diamond as a young teenager, despite claims to the contrary that they never even met. The reported coupling was also included on NNDB.com (Notable Names Database).

2. Paul Simon & Carrie Fisher -- Before he married fellow Musician Edie Brickell (with whom he has 3 young teenagers), Paul Simon was, in real life, married to Carrie Fisher; not surprisingly, the marriage ended in divorce and failed soon after their wedding, hence why the marriage was short-lived.

3. Jeff Goldblum & Geena Davis -- Despite their respectively lanky heights (6 foot 4 and 6 foot even), Jeff Goldblum & Geena Davis are, to me, just not right for each other--and their marriage, which ended in 1990, proves it.

4. Angelina Jolie Voight & Billy Bob Thornton -- Anyone who remembers this brief marriage will remember an incident in which both parties tattooed each other's name in Blood; Voight has since dropped her last name legally, as part of distancing herself from her father, Jon Voight, and is now known both professionally and legally as Angelina Jolie.

5. Charlie Estevez & Denise Richards -- Known professionally as Charlie Sheen, Charlie Estevez & his marriage to Denise Richards (despite resulting in 2 daughters together) failed after I believe 4 years of marriage.
