Default Homicide Hunter

It looks like many of us watch other true crimes shows, including those on the ID Network. Last fall, the network ran a contest to win a walk-on role in one of their shows. I tried to enter every week and found out last month that I’m the grand prize winner. I’ll be flying to Knoxville, TN later this month for a walk-on role on Homicide Hunter. I am absolutely thrilled! Not sure what I’ll be doing, but I told them I would gladly play a dead body just to be part of series.

Awesome! I love Homicide Hunter. I love the real Joe Kenda sharing his experiences , he is a really good guy, his heart always went out to the victims and their loved ones! I like the reenactments and the actor who plays the young Joe Kenda. Well done show!

Have a great time being on the show! Very cool!!

The taping will take place next Tuesday (4.28). I play a crime scene photographer, but that's all I know. I agree with everyone's comments about Joe Kenda. It's obvious he really cared about the victims and did his best to solve their murders.

Congrats on winning that contest. Look forward to hearing what your role consists of. Homicide Hunter is my favorite of the recent (within the past few years) true crime shows. Love Lt. Kenda, his compassion and dedication, and his dry sense of humor.

Any updates since the taping?

So cool! I love Joe Kenda. He's so old and surly, but a really good guy at heart.

He really is. He's so dry, his sense of humor just cracks me up. I think I've seen him smile one time and whatever he had just said truly made me lol. Some of the things he says are so funny. The episode where this lady was killed and originally they thought it was suicide, then he realized there was no gun there. He said something like "unless a little fairy came and took the gun away, this wasn't a suicide". I laughed so hard.

He refereed to some criminals as 'knuckleheads" one time !! LOL!! It was something like they wanted it to look like a person drove off a cliff or something .They already had killed the person and stuck them in a car, and put a brick on the accelerator ! Than as Kenda put it The "knuckleheads" forget to take the brick out!

LOL. My Dad used to call me and my siblings knuckleheads if we did something stupid. Such an old term. It cracked me up when Kenda said it!
