I guess she just looked young for her age but she looked more like their older sister. The girls was supposed to be 13 and Ann looked like she was 26 years old in these first 2 episodes. Anyone agree?

Well, Bonnie Franklin was only 31 years old when the show premiered.

Mackenzie Phillips was 16 years 45 days old when the show premiered.
Valerie Bertinelli was 15 years 8 months old when the show premiered.
Is this the way Bonnie Franklin looked in the first two episodes ?

Ann did look young. When Ann was applying for that job in season one, she reveals that she is only 34. Julie is 16. So that means Ann was a teenager when she started having kids.
