I just emailed Shout! Factory to ask them about their supposed release of The Name of the Game. As you may know, www.tvshowsondvd.com has posted on their site that season one of this show will be released and even included cover art.
Customer service at Shout! Factory told me that they are still planning to release season one but they're having trouble with the formatting of the master tapes. At least they're still planning to release this! I've been waiting a long time. Any of you remember this show or see it in reruns? |

I watched "The Name Of The Game" as a kid! Love the opening credits with it's jazzy music! I like Robert Stack and Gene Barry but did not like Tony Franciosa. Susan Saint James I don't recall being on the show however! It was not a weekly show if I recall; it was like bi-monthly with another show appearing the following week but I don't recall what the show was? Columbo maybe? |

Just a great show all around. My fave character is Robert Stack and Gene Barry is right behind him. Tony Franciosa was a cool, good looking young guy but he could sometimes be obnoxious. Anyway, I love the show and Susan St. James was great in this pre-MacMillan & Wife role.

Depending on the number of episodes for season 1 and the cost of DVD release; I may buy season 1. It cannot be price like the Girl From Uncle DVD release that for sure! Total ridiculous - yes Stephanie Powers is total hot in it but still it very pricey!
Name Of The Game - is to release the complete series set! I will buy it for sure if Shout does that! |
