I found out a few weeks ago but didn't come across a new thread on any of the ones I looked through. I assume some of you know but thought Id start a thread about it since I was rather surprised that on March 11th 2015 his skull was found at the base of a cliff on Petit Jean Mountain Range. Petite Jean is a sheer cliff drop. At certain times of the year bald eagles soar passed just overhead. The place his body was found is way off trial and hikers are advised to avoid that area for safely.
After all the articles I read, I believe he either planned on suicide or he went to clear his head and died accidently. The excerpt from this article is mainly why "Melinda went to put on a bathrobe, and when she returned, John was fast asleep in the chair. “Snoring,” she says. At 10:30 p.m., ready to go to bed, Melinda shook John gently, but he didn’t wake up, so she let him sleep. Sometime after that, Glasgow awoke, and, according to the evidence he left behind, did the following things: He wrote two checks from a family educational trust—one to a niece and the other to himself to cover his trustee’s fee, which, apparently on second thought, he redeposited back into the trust fund. The checks were dated that morning and were left out on the kitchen counter. Glasgow also wrote the only note that he would leave behind, three lines on a pad that Melinda used for her to-do lists—the Bank of America website, the number of their electronic account, and the password to their home safe, where Glasgow left $11,400 and his passport. He took his cell phone from the kitchen counter, his corporate credit card from his briefcase, and went downstairs to the basement, where he picked up his company laptop. Leaving behind his wristwatch and his blood-pressure medication, he got into his Volvo and pulled out of the driveway. At 5:15 a.m., minutes after his neighbor saw the car drive away, Glasgow’s cell phone was turned on."[/B][/B] He was clearly planning on leaving or disappearing whether his initial plan was to go into the woods for a few days to clear his head and he accidently died or he had planned to die out in the woods (which given the things he left for Melinda seems more probable). He left all his work belongings neatly in the backseat of his vehicle as if to say "I'm done with all your BS." (at least to me). His brother even suspected he might go to Petit Jean when he cell phone location was close to that area. Unless someone had broken into his house that morning and held a gun to his head and made him write the note and check, foul play doesn't make sense. Yes, Dillards and CDI were at odds over the redistribution and there was accusations of wrongdoing ect but that happens in the business world. I highly doubt he was murdered over it, especially given his actions that morning. I think the accumulation of intense stress over a year built up and going into work all weekend (maybe something happened that pushed him over the edge). If he thought his integrity would be shattered, thought his career would be over with, thought he would be publicly accused ect (maybe it was just too much for him). Within the weeks leading up to his disappearance his wife said she saw him break down and cry (which he never did), he napped during the day (which he never did), and the night before seemed to be in deep thought and distant. He also was passed out in his car by 10pm and was in such a deep sleep his wife couldn't wake him. All of those point to mental, emotional and physical exhaustion. According to his brother Roger, no injury was seen on the skull. They did collect more bone fragments from the area and haven't officially released a cause of death yet. I'm glad the family has some sense of closure after 7 years. Hopefully, some cause of death can be found however with skeletal remains it can be difficult. http://www.katv.com/story/28545847/u...-glasgow-found |

Thanks for the update on this case. I really enjoy watching Disappeared, but I don't know if we are going to see any new episodes.

The finding of Glasgow's remains were mentioned in the Disappeared thread. His death remains under investigation and at least the family thinks foul play was involved.

Thank you and yes, I am aware its still under investigation. The family has always thought foul play was involved although his brother wasn't completely against the possibility John committed suicide. The foul play theory just flies in the face of everything John did that morning so I think its more denial. However, Thank you for the tidbit

I had recently watched this case and felt so sorry for the family. I was impressed by the fortitude of his brother, Roger. John seemed like such a decent guy and was under so much pressure. I'm glad they can bring him home and hopefully can find an answer to what may have happened.
