Default Do You Think Frasier Loved Diane Chambers Or Was It Just A Dream

HEY GUYS JUST WANTED TO SEE YOUR IDEAS AND EXACTLLY WHAT YOU THINK OF FRASIER AND DIANE, LILITH AND FRASIER FANS DON,T GET ME WRONG HERE I REALLY DO LIKE Lilth and Frasier ALOT AND I THINK THEY BELONG TOGETHER DEFINITLLY,STILL I REALLY DO THINK FRASIER LOVED DIANE,and OF COURSE SAM AND DIANE BELONG TOGETHER DEFINITLLY TO AHHHHH,but i always thought that frasier really sincerlly loved diane, perhaps not the way sam did but i do think he did defintilly love her somewhat atleast,I really thought it was interesting how frasier and diane ended up together, but then again maybe it was just a hard time in there lives and they needed someone really badly they thought despertlly during at those years especaially then, but i still do think that there were some deep feelings and undoubtly some love in their affair, maybe i am alittle to romantic and idealistic, achually i don,t see that i really am somehow seemilnly allthough i am just really involved in the cheers stories definitlly mostlly sam and dianes, but i did feel some sadness strangley when sam and frasier broke up even though i was not a big fan of theirs, but what do you think all about dianed and frasiers doomed love affair if you want to call it that,do you think they loved eachor or was it just a desperate way to escape some could call it,please share it all, thanks lol

I think Frasier truly loved Diane, but he was never IN love with her. Frasier is just a sensitive, compassionate man. When he loves something or someone, he puts his whole heart and soul into it. He did care for Diane deeply, but I think he was at a point in his life where he just wanted to settle down and Diane just kept collecting salt to add to his wounds each time she took their relationship to another level. She KNEW she would never actually marry him. She was completely leading him on, and subconsciously, it was to make Sam jealous. Frasier was her little pon in her game of winning back Sam's affections.

Anyhow, I think Frasier was hurt emotionally when Diane left him, as well as his pride being damaged. However, I don't think he was heartbroken -- just asshamed and hurt that someone he cared about could use him in that fashion. She was more of an unreachable gold mine to him, and as Lilith pointed out in "Cranes go Carribean"... Frasier's always been one for a challenge. I think subconsciously, Frasier KNEW that Diane was NOT his soul mate and neither were in LOVE with each other, but she was a challenge he would attempt to take on. The challenge of winning her affections.

When Frasier met Lilith, the chemistry was just there from the get-go. They drove each other crazy, yes... but that's true to any good love story. Each of my all-time favorite couples drove each other insane at first. Anyway, I think it's obvious that Frasier and Diane had no chemistry, and yes... I DO believe he LOVED her, but he wasn't IN love with her. Frasier and Lilith are soul mates, as well as Sam and Diane.

Lilith: I mapped out our dominant and recessive traits on a genome square, applied Mendel's laws, allowed for anomolies, and concluded that you are the best biological choice.
Frasier: I see. Well, enticed as I am by your honeyed words, I'm gonna need some kissin'.
Lilith: Frasier, don't misunderstand. I'm not proposing any change in our relationship.
Frasier: Would we sleep together?
Lilith: I thought we'd freeze your sperm.
Frasier: Is that a yes or a no?
Lilith: Natural fertilization isn't practical. I'd have to fly to Seattle every time I ovulate.
Frasier: Right, okay. So then, your plan is for me to visit some local doctor, freeze my essence, and then bring it home with you.
Lilith: Correct. I'll take mine to go!
